The 1942 Farmall H is a classic mid-size row-crop tractor from International Harvester, typically a 2-plow machine. It uses the IH C-152 152-cu in (2.5L) four cylinder engine, making about 26 drawbar hp and 33 belt hp, with a 5-speed transmission (5F/1R). Features include a 540rpm, transmission-driven PTO. Most were 6 volt with magneto or distributor ignition but this one has been refitted with a 12 volt alternator. This tractor has the narrow tricycle axle, and weighs roughly 4,400–5,000 lb depending on equipment. Renowned for simple, durable engineering and abundant parts support, it remains a popular, easy-to-service vintage workhorse.
